As we welcome back Helen Naylor and coach Vanessa Ellis from their really successful 10 days with the GB team the WBBL team are immediately into preparation for their league game vs Northumbria.  At the beginning of the season the team lost 73-68 in Northumbria and are determined to reverse the result this time.  The tip off is at 2.00pm on Sunday at All Saints.

Hi everyone.   There is no basketball at All Saints this weekend as the centre plays host to the BUCs Judo finals.  The WBBL team have the weekend off as there are no games this weekend due to the GB camp and games.  Our own Helen Naylor and of course coach Vanessa Ellis are involved and we wish the whole team the best of luck with their games in Manchester v Albania on Saturday and Montenegro next Wednesday.

Hatters v Stockport Lapwings – U18

After a brilliant win against Manchester last week, Hatters made a slow start this Sunday against Stockport Lapwings.  Stockport took advantage of this and the first quarter finished with only a 6 point lead to Hatters.Hatters stepped up the pressure on Stockport to make a 43 – 25 lead at Half Time.

Sheffield Hatters v Manchester Mystic- U18

From the get go Hatters came out fastbreaking giving them a 17-8 lead at the end of the first quarter which was aided by Millie Dooley getting 10 points. During the second quarter scoring 21 points it turned out to be the Hatters top quater. Just two teams in action for the Hatters this weekend….WBBL and U18s…but three games and all at home so plenty to see.  On Saturday the first tip is at 1pm when the U18s take on Team Birmingham Elite ***GAME POSTPONED*** and this is followed at 3pm by the WBBL v Cardiff Archers ***GAME POSTPONED***.  Although Cardiff started the season badly they have won 3 of their last 4 games so it is likely to be another keenly contested game.

Sorry for the delay in posting today!

There is only one home game for Hatters this weekend but what a game!   The U18s face Manchester!  Earlier in the season they travelled to Manchester and lost by just 2.  They will be hoping to win by more than that on Saturday afternoon.  The tip off is at All Saints @ 2pm.   They would really appreciate your support!
