Well done to Georgia Gayle who has been named the WBBL young player of the year for 2015-16.

“Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters’ rising star Georgia Gayle has taken the honour of being crowned the Molten WBBL Young Player of the Year for 2015-16.

The England youth international has blossomed this season and stepped up for her team – evidenced by the fact that she has appeared in the weekly All Star Five more times than any other U20 player or fellow teenager.

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters eased their way into the last four of the WBBL Play-Offs after beating Leicester Riders 106-61.

Before talking about this weekend I would like to thank all the supporters who made the trip to Nottingham last weekend.  We were all rewarded with a fantastic game (probably the best of this WBBL season) which Hatters eventually won 86-85 in overtime.  The fans made a lot of noise throughout the game and it was fantastic that our supporters were at least as vocal as theirs.  Their energy and enthusiasm certainly helped the team to maintain their efforts throughout ...

Walking Basketball

Walking basketball sessions have resumed on Thursdays @ All Saints from 6-7pm.  At present they are attended by a small but keen group of men and women including some complete beginners and cover a wide age range….. so everyone is welcome and it would be good to have new members.  At present sessions only cost £1.50 (normal price £3) so why not come and give it a try.

Haringey v Hatters – U16s

Last Sunday, Hatters’ u16s began with an early start-meeting at All Saints at approximately 8:30am before embarking on a three hour drive to Haringey, London. With the warm up cut short due to a prior final eight game and supporters less than a third of the opposition it looked like luck wasn’t on their side. Welcome to the last weekend of the regular season.  There is only one game for Hatters to complete…….Nottingham Wildcats v Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters.  The game tips at the Wildcats Arena at 5.30pm on Saturday.  Many supporters have already promised to make the journey and hope you can come too.  Nottingham are unbeaten in the league (although Hatters knocked them out of the Trophy) so it will be a tough game and I am sure a fantastic advert for the ...
