Cardiff Met Archers 94 (14,36,65) (Wakama 30, Collins 18, Jenkins 17)
Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 100 (17,49,71) (Gandy 27, Naylor 25, Campbell 20)
A sublime 13 of 15 shooting display by Great Britain forward Steph Gandy was the centrepiece of another excellent win for Hatters as they continue their title bid in the WBBL Championship.
Gandy poured in 27 points and was complimented by fantastic supporting performances from Helen Naylor and Naomi Campbell as the visitors shrugged off a plucky effort from the home side.
Led by Great Britain captain and player-coach Stef Collins who was not that far away from a triple-double with 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, along with 30 points by Rena Wakama, Cardiff managed to launch a thrilling fight back.
Having fallen down by double-digits at the half 49-36 and looking like they might fade, the home side rallied with a terrific third quarter to cut the gap to six.
Then with just over a minute to go, Wakama made it a one-shot game at 97-94 to Hatters, only for the visitors to ice the result from the free-throw line in the dying stages.
