Sevenoaks Suns 49 (7,22,32) (Bright 22, Busch 7, Nikitinaite 6)
Westfied Health Sheffield Hatters got back to winning ways in the WBBL Championship on Saturday with a 73-49 victory against the visiting Sevenoaks Suns at the All Saints High School to improve to a 3-1 record in the league.
The hosts took command right from the get-go, building up a double-digit advantage already in the opening quarter. Leading 17-7 after the first 10 minutes of play, Hatters increased the gap to 15 points at the halftime break, with Helen Naylor and Steph Gandy reaching double figures early.
Sheffield continued to pull away in the second half as well, holding Suns to 10 points in the third quarter, as the lead grew to 57-32 heading into the final frame of action. Despite edging the fourth quarter, Sevenoaks were too far behind to cause the home side any problems down the stretch.
Helen Naylor led the winners with 20 points, while Steph Gandy added 16. For Suns, Patricia Bright finished with a game-high 22 points, but no other player managed to come close to double figures.
