Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 78-57 Caledonia Pride (20-13, 33-28, 55-43)

A powerful second-half by Hatters took them to a comfortable home win against Caledonia Pride as they consolidated third place in the standings.

Double-doubles by Gianna Woods and Laure Gregory kept Sheffield firmly in the title race and condemned Pride to a seventh league loss.

Here is the match report from Sheffield Hatters under 18s vs Charnwood.
 
Sheffield Hatters under 18s had a top of the table clash against Charnwood college riders. Before the Christmas break the Hatters had 8 wins and 3 losses and Charnwood had 7 wins and 1 loss. All to play for today.
 
The Hatters started off well scoring straight from the tip but it was quickly counteracted by a lovely 3 point shot. The 1st quarter finished 12 v 25 to Charnwood.

Manchester v Hatters – U18s

Today Sheffield Hatters under 18s had a tricky away tie against Manchester Mystics. The last time the 2 sides met it went to 3 periods of overtime and the Hatters came through and won it 74 v 67, so the girls knew they were in for a tough game.
 
The girls came out and pushed the Manchester offense into making mistakes and the attacked the defense with real purpose but lost the 1st quarter 15 v 10.

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters inflicted a second home loss of the weekend on Caledonia Pride as they came away with the road triumph.

Helen Naylor made WBBL history by becoming the first player to get to 1000 Championship points in helping the Hatters to the win.

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 52-84 Sevenoaks Suns (17-29, 29-49, 36-68)

There remains one unblemished record remaining in the WBBL Championship after the still perfect Sevenoaks made a serious statement of their title ambitions.

They inflicted only a second league loss on Hatters with a rampant performance from tip to buzzer as they reacted to being unexpectedly dumped out of the WBBL Cup last weekend.
