FRIDAY FORUM

Posted by:

Following the successes of last weekend – all four National League teams won – our Yorkshire League team travelled to York on Monday with a rather depleted team.  The small team who did make the trip played hard in what turned out to be a very close game but in the end were disappointed as they lost by one point.  This weekend our Junior teams have a weekend off (except for the girls involved in National Training) but both senior ...

Why not come down to All Saints this Saturday for the first senior home games of the Season.  The afternoon begins at 12.00 with a friendly game  U16s vs a team made up of players from the U18/Div 2/ YBL.  The idea is to give the U16s a more competitive game as they have won their first two games of the season easily scoring over 100 points each time.  This will be followed at 2.00pm by the first Div 2 ...

Posted by:

Today Westfield Hatters new WBBL team played their first competitive games in a friendly tournament against Glasgow Rocks, Northumbria and hosts Manchester.  They began with a convincing win against their hosts (61-36) and followed this with another good win (51-27) versus Glasgow Rocks.  Their toughest test came in the last game versus Northumbria who had also won their other two games. Both teams were tired at the end of a very busy afternoon but the players dug deep and managed to ...

Preseason Friendlies

Posted by:

All the Hatters teams are back in training after their Summer Break.  Last weekend our U14s hosted a series of friendly games as part of their preparation for the coming season.  On Saturday they played Manchester Mystics and Southend Swifts and on Sunday a return match against the Swifts before they returned home.  Although the Hatters lost all three games the weekend was very enjoyable and all the games were competitive.  This experience against two of the best teams in ...
