Another busy weekend begins on Saturday as both U16 teams travel to away games which tip at 1pm. The U16P make the long journey to Ipswich whilst the the U16C make the shorter trip to Leeds. We wish them safe travels and the best of Luck.

On Sunday the only home game of the weekend is a WBBL game between Peterman FLT Hatters and Caledonia Pride. The tip is at 2pm at All Saints…hope to see you there!

Hatters v Stockport Lapwings -Division 2

The game started off very quick paced clearly surprising Div 2 with frequent baskets being made from Lapwings as soon as the ball was tipped. Hatters continued to try and break down their offence, however, defensive errors allowed them to win the first quarter 11-22. In the second quarter, more effort was put into stopping the ball which allowed Hatters to draw some fouls out of the opposition and good baskets. Welcome to another busy weekend for the Hatters .

On Saturday there are two home games with the U14P tipping at 2pm v Newcastle Eagles and then Div 2 tipping at 3pm v Stockport Lapwings.

On Sunday there are more home games beginning at 12noon when the U16C team face Mersey Mavericks. At the same time the U12s face Lancashire Spinners tipping at 12.15pm. These games are followed by a rearranged Peterman FLT Hatters WBBL Championship game. The ...

Hatters v Lancashire Spinners – Division 2

Being Div 2’s first game of the new year, the game started off slowly with Div 2 allowing the opposition to gain several baskets in advance. Fortunately, Hatters picked up the pace and were able to gain a lead in the first quarter. During the second quarter, Div 2 were clearly more ambitious and played more energetically (which was evident in their defence) than when they had initially started which meant the opposition only scored one basket whilst hatters scored ...

As 2020 begins both of Hatter’s senior teams are in action on this first weekend. On Sunday Div 2 welcome Lancashire Spinners to All Saints for a 1pm tip.

After some great results for our teams last week there are more big games this week!

On Saturday the U14P team welcome Manchester to All Saints for a 12.30pm tip! Whilst the U16P team travel to Manchester for a 3.30pm tip.

Derbyshire Diamonds v Hatters -Division 2

The first quarter of the match started of with Derbyshire in the lead, most likely due to Hatters being slightly nervous. However, Div 2 fought back and won the first quarter. During the second quarter, Hatters fell behind slightly fouling the opposition on occasions and finding it difficult to defend the post players under the basket. The first half ended 34-32.

Hatters v Manchester (Cup) – U16s

The Sheffield Hatters started their game against Manchester with intense defence and patient offence which led to many baskets and ensured that the Hatters ended the first quarter in the lead .
The second quarter continued in a similar fashion still working with persistent and intensive defence from the the girls , which allowed them to gain many steals and baskets and remain still in lead by the end of the quarter.

Luton v Hatters – U16s

The Sheffield Hatters started of their game against Luton in a positive fashion which consisted of strong defence and patience on offence this allowed the Hatter’s  to end the first quarter in the lead.
The third and second quarter continued in a similar fashion The 4th quarter saw the Hatters working together to win the game comfortably On to the next !!!!
