Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters inflicted a second home loss of the weekend on Caledonia Pride as they came away with the road triumph.

Helen Naylor made WBBL history by becoming the first player to get to 1000 Championship points in helping the Hatters to the win.

Leading scorers – Oakes 21, Thomson 19, Reynolds 13 (Pride) – Gandy 25, Naylor 19, Woods 16 (Hatters)

Turning point – Hatters made a strong start and a blistering second period saw them establish a commanding 23-point cushion at the break and they were able to hold off a spirited fightback from Pride.

Key stat – The visitors dominated on the boards, out-rebounding their opponents 35-52 as they restricted Pride to 35% shooting from the floor.

Game hero(es) – Steph Gandy powered to a 25-point haul with 10 in the fourth, while Helen Naylor finished with 19. Gianna Woods had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists with Jennifer Ashton also producing an all-round display with 15 points, 13 boards, 7 assists and 5 steals.
