So this weekend starts today with our Christmas social this evening at 7pm. Looking forward to seeing you all and having fun!

On Saturday there is just one game as our U16C team welcome Newcastle to All Saints for a 12.30pm.

Lancashire Spinners v Hatters – Division 2

Division 2’s game against Lancashire Spinners started off slow with Div 2 in the lead by a few points with many baskets coming from Ava and fast breaks causing the defence to crumble. The team was also able to defend their post player well considering the large size difference. The first half ended with the score being 20-31 to Hatters.

This is going to be a busy weekend with all of our teams in action. Our youngest National League team have two games on Saturday in the U14 regional league. They face Barrow and Leicester at Leicester. Hatters games are now scheduled for 3.30 and 4.30pm. Also on Saturday the U14P team welcome Derby to All Saints. So head coach Vanessa Ellis has been back from the “GB window” this week and Peterman FLT Hatters have been training hard preparing for their away game at Newcastle in the WBBL this Sunday. Their tip is at 4pm.

Hatters v Derby Trailblazers – Division 2

The game started off very quick paced with few shots being made by Div 2 allowing the opposition to gain a good lead. Confidence rose greatly during the second quarter allowing Div 2 players to create opportunities and draw fouls from the other team. However, even with great defence from the team, the half-time score was 22-33.

Congratulations to the GB Women with our own Vanessa Ellis for their win V Poland and the very best for your game in Manchester on Sunday v Belarus. So with the GB team away there is no WBBL game again this week but still plenty going on.

Myerscough v Hatters – Division 2
