Hi everyone it’s the start of half-term in Sheffield this week with many of our players looking forward to a well earned rest but training and games continue as usual and there are also a couple of extra dates for your diaries. So another busy weekend for Hatters approaches, especially for our younger players.

On Saturday the U12s head to Manchester for a 12.30pm tip (originally a second game v Leicester was planned but there is now only one game). Meanwhile the U14P team welcome Stockport Lapwings to All Saints also for a 12.30pm tip.

Finally Peterman FLT Sheffield Hatters (our WBBL team) head for Nottingham for a 6.30pm tip on Saturday evening at the Wildcats Arena.

So Friday Forum could be very short and sweet this week as there is only one game to tell you about. All the junior teams completed their league features last week and now have a free weekend or two before the playoffs begin. The WBBL team are in action though and we are hoping for a big crowd. So this weekend the juniors have some travelling to do. First on Saturday the U12s travel to Bury to play 2 games. The first tip is at 1.30pm v Northants and the second at 3pm v Bury. Then on Sunday the U16P travel to Nottingham for their last game of the regular season which is a 1pm tip.

There are two home games though…the U18s play Charnwood at All Saints on Saturday at 2pm and the U16D team ...

First congratulations to our own Vanessa Ellis and the whole GB women’s squad on their qualification for the Women’s Eurobasket 2019!   

At the end of what has been a busy week for Vanessa she will this afternoon set off for Scotland with the Hatters WBBL team who play Caledonia tomorrow in the quarter finals of the WBBL cup competition at 3.45pm.  The team then head home and straight to bed before they face Essex Rebels at All Saints on Sunday ...

A fantastic night was had by all who attended the Hatters fundraising dinner at Brookfield Manor, hosted by Sir Hugh and Lady Sykes, we raised a magnificent £4070, thank you everyone who attended and made the night very what it was.
