Caledonia Pride 71-86 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (12-20, 20-43, 49-63)

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters inflicted a second home loss of the weekend on Caledonia Pride as they came away with the road triumph.

Helen Naylor made WBBL history by becoming the first player to get to 1000 Championship points in helping the Hatters to the win.

There are no games at All Saints this weekend……instead the WBBL, U18s and U16s take to the road.  On Saturday the U16s cross the tops to Manchester for a 1pm tip whilst the U18s head for Birmingham to play West Bromich at 2pm.  Also on Saturday the WBBL team Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters start the long journey North to face in form Caledonia on Sunday at 1pm.   Given the weather forecast for the weekend we wish them all safe journeys ...

Hatters v Sevenoaks – WBBL

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 52-84 Sevenoaks Suns (17-29, 29-49, 36-68)

There remains one unblemished record remaining in the WBBL Championship after the still perfect Sevenoaks made a serious statement of their title ambitions.

They inflicted only a second league loss on Hatters with a rampant performance from tip to buzzer as they reacted to being unexpectedly dumped out of the WBBL Cup last weekend.

Leeds v Hatters – U18s

Today Sheffield Hatters under 18s made the short journey to play City of Leeds Basketball Club at Leeds Beckett University. The girls had a bit of a slow start to the first quarter struggling to get into their rhythm. The first quarter ended 14 v 14. There are 3 fixtures for the Hatters this weekend but only one at All Saints.  The WBBL Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters face Seveoaks Suns who are currently unbeaten in the league. However, like Hatters they were knocked out of the WBBL Cup last weekend so both teams will be determined to bounce back with a win. The tip is at 4pm so time for some Christmas shopping before you come and support the team and their new signing Lauren Gregory.
