With Christmas nearly here fixtures in the National League are all but done and our three junior teams get to start their holidays but our youngest team the U12s have one more game to play.  They welcome Leeds to All Saints on Saturday (22nd) for a 12 noon tip.

Manchester v Hatter – WBBL (Cup Semi Final)

Manchester Mystics 63-93 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (18-18, 28-44, 44-70)

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters are the first team into the WBBL Cup Final after beating 2017 winners Manchester Mystics 93-63 on the road to make it seven wins in a row in all competitions.

It is the first time Hatters have qualified for the Cup Final, and they will meet the winners of Leicester Riders and Sevenoaks Suns at Arena Birmingham on Sunday 27 January 2019.

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 86 – 73 Oaklands Wolves (25-19, 46-39, 70-53)

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters have gone top of the WBBL Championship table after an 86-73 defeat of Oaklands Wolves moved them to an 8-1 record.

Hatters remain unbeaten at home this season and have won their last five games in the league; while they also hold a perfect 5-0 record in meetings with Wolves since they joined the WBBL.

So it’s going to be a big Saturday afternoon at All Saints which begins at 12.30pm when the U12 girls tip against Sheffield Sharks.  Then at 3pm the WBBL tip v Oakland Wolves.  We are hoping to welcome some of our sponsors to the game as well as local school children who will take part in some activities at half -time. 

Meanwhile the U16P will be travelling to Manchester for their 1pm tip.  Their journey will be repeated by the U18s ...

A week after defeating the same opposition in the Cup, Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters returned to Edinburgh to earn a 67-77 victory over Caledonia Pride at Oriam Scotland.

The visitors improve their league record to 7-1 and extend their winning streak in the competition to four games, while the hosts slip to a fourth defeat in a row.

Another Friday and another evening travelling to Scotland for our WBBL team.  After last weeks successful trip – they won 74-95 in the QF of the cup and will now face Manchester (in Manchester) on the 15th December in the semi-final – they are hoping for a repeat performance at 1pm on Saturday when they meet Caledonia again this time in the league.
