So another busy weekend for the Hatters is about to begin!!!  This weekend all of the action is away from home, so we wish all the teams safe travels as well as good luck in the games.

Newcastle Eagles 73 – 78 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (18-16, 40-37, 53-54)

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters overcame Newcastle Eagles on the road, winning a tight game 78-73 to open the season with consecutive victories.

It was a big game early in the campaign, as both sides are favoured and had started well, with Eagles now slipping to 1-1.

Friday Forum is a little early this week as I am away tomorrow.

Well the Hatters are going to cover a lot of miles this weekend with all the National League teams playing away.  So it is good that we now have the new minibus – well done to everyone who helped raise the money! Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters got their season off to the best possible start with a routine 97-63 home victory over Nottingham Wildcats.

Having gone trophyless for the first time last season – in the WBBL era – the Hatters made the most of their opening fixture to send a clear message of their desire to get back amongst the silverware.
