Hatters Celebrate Fathers Day with a Family Fun Day

Thank you to everyone who came down to All Saints School today to take part in our Family Fun Day.  The juniors played in our monthly Central Venue League between 10am-12pm. It was followed by international food, 3 legged race and many more activities between 12-3pm.

Also a BIG thank you to those that organised the event.

The Hatters Are Raring To Represent Great Britain in Eurobasket

Two players from Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters Division 1 team headed to France this week to represent Great Britain.  Steph Gandy and Lauren  Thomas-Johnson who made the final squad are accompanied by Vanessa Ellis who continues her role after as the Olympics as Assistant Coach.

 

After missing out at the last hurdle to represent GB in the Olympics Thomas-Johnson and Gandy’s hard work has obviously paid off not only having an undefeated season with the Hatters but also making the final squad of 12.

It has been a great season for the Westfield Health Hatters finishing with an undefeated record and winning their second trophy of the year as league champs. Naomi Campbell and Helen Naylor took a short break from the Hatters to fulfill representative duties as part of the English Universities team in the BUCS Home Nations tournament, held in Edinburgh last week. Naylor was competing for the 6th time, whilst Campbell making it her 2nd year in a row. Division 1: Hatters Still Undefeated

Westfield Health Hatters travelled down to Cardiff this past Saturday for their second regular season match up against Cardiff Archers. The two teams met before Easter break in Sheffield where the Hatters beat the Archers 90-57. This game would not be much different.

23rd March Bag Collection

On the 23rd March we will be collecting second hand clothes, bags, shoes, bedding, towels etc. Last time we did this we raised £200 so please bring down anything you can think of. It does not matter what state it is in as the bags are done by weight. So use this as an excuse to have a Spring clean because I’m sure spring is on its way soon!

Division 1: Two for Two on the Weekend

The Westfield Health Hatters hit the road for a double header weekend. They matched up against Manchester Mystics on Saturday where they got out to a very early lead. The Mystics who are currently in 9th place with only 3 wins this season lost to the Hatters 88-56 the first time they played. This time would be no different.
