Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 104 – 57 Essex Rebels (26-12, 59-26,85-40)

The eyes of Hatters are still on the WBBL Championship title after they improved to a 6-1 league record with a comfortable home success against the rookie Rebels.

Essex came into the game off the back of their heartbreaking overtime loss on Saturday against Manchester Mystics, which almost snapped their barren spell. However they are still searching for their maiden Championship success after this setback in South Yorkshire.

Caledonia Pride 74-95 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (14-28, 39-54, 54-70)

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters moved into the Semi-Finals of the WBBL Cup with a convincing win on the road at Caledonia Pride.

Last season’s runners-up see their challenge ended with Sheffield edging closer to their first WBBL Cup Final.

First congratulations to our own Vanessa Ellis and the whole GB women’s squad on their qualification for the Women’s Eurobasket 2019!   

At the end of what has been a busy week for Vanessa she will this afternoon set off for Scotland with the Hatters WBBL team who play Caledonia tomorrow in the quarter finals of the WBBL cup competition at 3.45pm.  The team then head home and straight to bed before they face Essex Rebels at All Saints on Sunday ...

Hi Everyone

Had to go to work this morning so a bit late today.   There is no WBBL game this week as players are away representing their countries…….Come on GB you can do it! 

However there is plenty of action at All Saints on Saturday afternoon.  It begins with a 12noon tip for the U16P team v Derby and is followed by the U18s v Leeds at 2pm and then the U12s v Doncaster at 4pm.  These tips were all moved forward ...

Hi everyone. First let me apologise that there was no Friday Forum last week but I was away for the weekend and could not access my computer.  Did get to see the WBBL in London though.  Hatters were losing until the last 3 minutes of the game but pulled together to win by 5, the U16P also came from behind to win against Nottingham and the U16D won too.  A good weekend all round so hope you didn’t miss anything ...

BA London Lions 77-82 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (22-19, 45-39, 66-57)

An extraordinary final three minutes saw Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters overcome BA London Lions 82-77 on the road, having trailed for much of the game.

It means Hatters move to 5-1 near the summit of the WBBL Championship table, and they have won eight of the nine WBBL meetings with Lions, remaining unbeaten on their opponent’s floor in the last five seasons.
