It’s Friday and another weekend of Hatters basketball to look forward to with games at All Saints on Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday the U18s tip at 12noon v Stockport Lapwings.  Sheffield Hatters currently lead the league but Stockport are in third so this is an important game.

Hi   Sorry for the delay in posting today.   There are no games in the WBBL this weekend as many players and our coach Vanessa Ellis have been at GB training this week and on Saturday evening play Israel in Manchester at 7.30pm.

The junior teams however are all in action at All Saints on Saturday afternoon.  First the U16s tip against Nottingham Wildcats at 12 noon.  At 2pm the U14s take on Tameside Royals and finally the U18s face Newcastle Eagles ...

Welcome back.  Last weekend saw plenty of action at All Saints but this weekend the junior teams are on the road and the Westfield Health WBBL team have no game.

On Saturday the U14s travel to Leeds for a 3pm tip.  Then on Sunday the U16s make the much longer trip South for a 1pm tip v Sevenoaks Suns and the U18s travel to Loughborough for a 2.15pm tip v Charnwood.

The WBBL have no game until Nov 19th when they welcome ...

Hatters v Derby – U16s (Cup)

SHEFFIELD HATTERS 79 V DERBY 53 (CUP GAME 2ND ROUND)

Hatters came out determined for a win after a disappointing loss the day before. Derby took an early lead, but the Hatters soon regained focus and went ahead and continued to lead all the way winning every quarter. With effective team work and a number of accurate long shots they became the winners of this cup game, taking the Hatters through to the quarter finals at home against Manchester Mystics on ...

Hatters v Southend – U16s

SHEFFIELD HATTERS 75 V SOUTHEND 87

Hatters got off to a good start against Southend going into an early lead, but Southend took the advantage of some defence errors giving them the lead at the end of the quarter. The 2nd quarter was a similar account to the 1st.

Good tactics by Hatters gave them the opportunity to get back into the game in the 3rd quarter getting within 5 points of Southend
