Peterman FLT Hatters have no games in the WBBL this week or next as the league takes a break to release players for GB duties as they try to qualify for the Eurobasket. Hatters head coach Vanessa Ellis will be setting off to accompany them as assistant coach.

So another busy weekend for Hatters approaches, especially for our younger players.

On Saturday the U12s head to Manchester for a 12.30pm tip (originally a second game v Leicester was planned but there is now only one game). Meanwhile the U14P team welcome Stockport Lapwings to All Saints also for a 12.30pm tip.

Finally Peterman FLT Sheffield Hatters (our WBBL team) head for Nottingham for a 6.30pm tip on Saturday evening at the Wildcats Arena.

Hatters v Hatfield – U16 Conf

The first game in the U16 Conference for the Hatters against Hatfield and it was a tight game all the way up to the 36th minute when the Hatters late run was timed perfectly.

Derby v Hatters – U16 Prem

The Sheffield Hatters U16’s Premier team began the new season with an away win at Derby Trailblazers. They got off to a slow start and were down by 19-12 at the end of the first quarter. The girls began to shake off the cob-webs and approached the second quarter with a more determined mind-set. At the end of the quarter the score was much closer 28-27, Derby under pressure but leading by 1 point.
