Hatters v Newcastle – U16s (Cup)

The Sheffield Hatters came up against a well drilled Newcastle side in the National Cup today. The Hatters girls had a tough start being restricted to just 5 points in the opening quarter as Newcastle came out and played a zonal defense to good effect. Friday Forum

So the weekend is nearly here again and it’s a busy one for the Hatters.

The action begins at Noon on Saturday with a tournament for the youngest members of the club (U12s) at All Saints.  Meanwhile the U18s will be arriving for their 1pm tip v perennial rivals Manchester Mystics.  This should be an exciting game so why not come down and give your support?  Next to tip are the U16s at 2.30pm – they face Southend Swifts another club ...

Hatters v Haringey – U16s

Final Score: Hatters 50 – Haringey 66

Haringey got off to a strong start achieving 8 points in the first minutes but the Hatters girls fought back with some great team work resulting with the score at 15 all after the 1st quarter.
A lack of concentration gave Haringey the opportunity to push forward with them winning the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
In the last quarter the Hatters pulled back winning the quarter 15-5.
