Hatters U16s Win Away at Cheshire

Hatters U16 travelled to Cheshire Panthers looking for a positive response to their opening defeat against Manchester last weekend.  The first three minutes saw Hatters take an 11 point lead with no response from Cheshire.  Cheshire came back leaving Hatters 14 – 21 up after the first Quarter.  Hatters made a poor start to the 2nd Quarter with Cheshire taking the lead 23 – 21, for the first and only time.  Hatters responded to take a 10 point lead, ending ...

Sheffield Hatters U16s Just Miss Out in Their First Game

Sheffield Hatters got off to a good start in the first 4 minutes with a lead of 9 points to nil. However, Manchester Mystics soon stepped up their game and brought it back to only a 3 point gap at the end of the first quarter. Sheffield Hatters U16s Match Report From the Pre-Season Tournament

The Sheffield Hatters kicked off the tournament by playing Ipswich. The Hatters went out fighting, showing a strong defence, and then catching Ipswich on the break, so the Hatters were up by a few at half-time; but both teams battled through the 3rd and 4th quarter, however the Hatters remained solid and won the game by 15 points with a final score of 51-36.

Hatters Celebrate Fathers Day with a Family Fun Day

Thank you to everyone who came down to All Saints School today to take part in our Family Fun Day.  The juniors played in our monthly Central Venue League between 10am-12pm. It was followed by international food, 3 legged race and many more activities between 12-3pm.

Also a BIG thank you to those that organised the event.

City of Sheffield Hatters Under 16 Team came agonisingly close to gaining a place in the final of the National Basketball League Final Fours competition at the EIS last Sunday. Eleanor Goodwin and Georgia Gayle led the way to a good team performance from the Hatters under 16s to win 90-72 over Sevenoaks Suns on Saturday 20th April. Hatters’ Under 16s Storm Into The Next Round Of The Play Offs

On Saturday 13th April the U16 Hatters forged an early lead in their Round 1 playoff game against the Barrow Thorns on Saturday. An unanswered 13 points, 7 of them from captain Georgia Gayle set the scene for a 33-12 quarter in the Hatters favour.

The second quarter saw a steady increase in the Hatters score with Gayle sinking her second three and 11 of the Hatters 22 points, while their defensive play held the thorns to just 9 additional points.
