Charnwood v Hatters – U18s

Today Sheffield Hatters under 18s made the long away trip to Charnwood for a top of the table clash. Both teams are fighting for the best play off spots and winning the league.
 
It was a bit of a cagey start Charnwood won the tip but the Hatters won the ball back and went a quick 4 points ahead. They were soon pegged back by a flurry of 3 pointers. The score was 10 v 10 going into the 2nd quarter.
 
At the start of the 2nd quarter the girls were punished for making a few mistakes, Charnwood put 20 points past them, but the firls rallied 2.5 minutes to go till halftime and they scored a quick few baskets and the score at halftime was 30 v 24 to Charnwood.
 
The 3rd quarter was once again dominated by Charnwood the girls had their chances but just could not convert them, although Brigha scored a lovely 3 pointer. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score was 44 v 32 to Charnwood.
 
The Hatters had it all to do in the final quarter and they came out and gave it a good go scoring 15 points but the gap was just too big. Charnwood won 59 v 47.
 
The top scorer today was Brigha on 15 points.
Brigha scored 4 free throws, 2 jump shots, 2 layups and a 3 pointer. Great effort.

The Hatters under 18s have a double header next week taking Newcastle eagles at home tip at 2pm All Saints and Myerscough away tip at 4pm.
