Fancy Dinner Time

Hatters family!

Lets talk for a second.

Not sure if you’ve heard, but Friday, April 27th is a big day for us. We’ve got our annual fundraising dinner coming up at Brookfield Manor in Derbyshire. Now I’ve only been in the UK for a few months, but I’ve come to learn that anything held at a Manor is bound to be associated with some elite experiences. So I took the liberty to google some images of the location for our grand dinner, and I see an absolutely beautiful house.

Or is it a mansion?

Maybe a mini castle?

Either way, these are the type of buildings that I imagine when I think of historical England. You know how American films paint pictures of us running around partying, racing cars and shooting guns all day? Well I always believed English history was about the fancy balls, medieval times, and of course, the infamous corsets. Knowing that our fundraising dinner is going to be held at such a grand location, I’m not going to lie, I’m a little excited.

As part of our fundraising dinner, we are offering a seat at one of our tables for £50 each. This can be used as your personal ticket to our exclusive event, or can be contributed to the fundraising program as a sponsorship to a player, if you will. Sponsoring a player means that you will have the opportunity to dine with said player at the same table… If you are looking to surround yourself amongst beautiful people in a beautiful atmosphere, this opportunity is for you. You are in for a treat!

This also means that you support our Hatters team SO much, that you are willing to give up weekend’s worth of fun to provide a Hatters athlete with an experience of great food, better company, and an overall experience that cant ever be taken away.

If you’ve been to any of our teams’ training sessions or matches, you will have seen first hand what this club does for our young student athletes of all ages. Basketball is still a growing sport here in the UK, and the best way to show potential audience that women’s basketball is worth paying attention to, is by continuing to pay attention ourselves!

Whether it’s monetarily by sponsoring a player for our dinner, or being present at training sessions/ matches, there is ALWAYS a way to show an active participation in nourishing the culture that is Hatters basketball.

Do you have a friend, or a friend of a friend that has their own business, restaurant, or service and would like to expand their exposure?

Our fundraising event is hosting a raffle, auction and game prize to help sustain all the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep this powerhouse running, so if you or someone you know would like to boost their exposure to a wider range of clientele, please be encouraged to donate either an experience, or product to our raffle. Everything goes a long way, and your generosity will go directly to the families of our club that make us such a home grown force.

Our group of girls in the Hatters program are talented, intelligent young ladies with a bright future ahead of them, starting from our mini Hot-Shots team up to our professional WBBL squad. Please show your support by being a force within our club with your contribution. Thank you and lets get ready for our fancy dinner!
