Ooops! Totally forgot to write last Friday. Please forgive my aging brain combined with being out of routine for so long during lockdown. Anyway with restrictions easing it’s great to see everyone getting back to basketball including the adults who have had very little opportunity to play for so long.
On Saturday our U13s again travel to York . I believe the rule is still one spectator per player. Safe journey to all and enjoy!
On Sunday there is a CVL at All Saints which involves our youngest players (U12s and Hotshots). Again one spectator per player. We are also having a clothes collection. Bags of old unwanted clothing will be picked up from All Saints at 10am and the money raised will go to club funds.
Whilst on the subject of raising club funds I would just like to make sure that you all know this is a very special year for the Hatters. In 1961 Hatters was founded by Betty Codona who is still the club chair and driving force so this year we are celebrating 60years! You may also be aware that last year we were unable to run a team in the WBBL due to rising costs and little opportunity to fund raise. We are determined to raise the necessary funds this year so if you can help by making a donation or sponsoring the team that would be great (please get in touch). All club members are currently doing a 60 challenge (running 60 kms, cycling 60 miles, swimming 60 lengths etc etc etc) so as a minimum please try to sponsor someone. Thanks
