Following the successes of last weekend – all four National League teams won – our Yorkshire League team travelled to York on Monday with a rather depleted team. The small team who did make the trip played hard in what turned out to be a very close game but in the end were disappointed as they lost by one point. This weekend our Junior teams have a weekend off (except for the girls involved in National Training) but both senior teams are again in action on Saturday at All Saints. The action begins at 12.30pm when Div 2 face Kingston Panthers. Although a few players from the Hatters team will be missing due to work or National Training commitments they will still be able to put out a good team and will be looking for another victory. Kingston meanwhile will be looking for their first win having lost the first three games of the season. Later at 6.30pm the WBBL team take on Manchester Mystics in a league game. Both teams will be looking for the win but also to learn about each others strengths and weaknesses as the two teams will meet again next weekend in the quarter finals of the WBBL Trophy (a new competition this year). Manchester have a 3-3 record whilst Hatters are currently 4-1. If you want to spend the whole afternoon at All Saints there is a men’s game between Sheffield Saints and Mansfield Giants at 3.00pm or if not perhaps time for a little Christmas shopping between the women’s games. Which games are you coming to watch? Why not comment and let us know? If you can’t be there why not take a moment to wish the teams Good Luck? Have a good weekend and hope you have time to join us for at least one of the games.
