U16s

In their first game of the Sureshot National Cup Hatters u16 team met Stockport at home. A high octane first quarter resulted in a 28-11 score line in favour of the Hatters. A lower defensive intensity from the Hatters made for a closer second quarter although Hatters were still in the lead going into half time 52-31.

The third quarter showed some defensive improvement however under Stockport’s high pressure Hatters were struggling to get the ball out of half court. Nevertheless they continued into the third quarter with a 75-44 lead.
The final quarter contained some good fast breaks from the Hatters side and they finished the game as 96-53 winners.
But Hatters have a lot to improve upon including reducing turnovers and coping under high pressure defence, which they will work on in training in preparation for the quarter finals, which they will play away at Sevenoaks.
