Hatters took a 7 point lead with no reply from Leeds until the 4th minute and finished the 1st quarter 25-11 up. They continued to work hard to extend their lead to 48-19 at half time. Leeds came back with 5 quick points at the start of the second half. Hatters responded with baskets from Croodwin, Axelby and Bennett and continued to increase their lead, finishing 70-28 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Hatters held Leeds with good defence in the final quarter, denying Leeds any points in the last 5 minutes. The final score was 96-36. Particular mention to be made of Courtney Bennett’s two tips and good rebounding.
