Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 80-93 Cardiff Met Archers (16-15, 33-44, 62-70)
Cardiff Met Archers pulled off a stunning result on the road as they inflicted a first loss on the season for Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters.
The Archers had never beaten Sheffield in six previous meetings in the WBBL, but had some impressive individually displays to help secure the win.

Turning point – Sheffield – who were 6-0 heading into the contest – made a solid start to lead 16-9 after seven minutes, but Stef Collins netted back-to-back triples to spark a 10-0 response before Cardiff compiled a pivotal 19-2 spell. Hatters battled back, but the damage was done and the visitors held on for the win.
Key stat – Cardiff were very efficient on the offensive end, shooting 55% from the field as well as netting 10 triples as their dominant trio combined for 82 points – two more than Sheffield’s total.
Game hero(es) – Stef Collins marked her return from international duty with a sensational performance with 35 points along with seven rebounds and seven assists. Merissa Quick put up 25 points, 14 boards and six assists, while Kate Butters added 22 points having started 6-of-6 from downtown.
