All the Hatters teams are back in training after their Summer Break. Last weekend our U14s hosted a series of friendly games as part of their preparation for the coming season. On Saturday they played Manchester Mystics and Southend Swifts and on Sunday a return match against the Swifts before they returned home. Although the Hatters lost all three games the weekend was very enjoyable and all the games were competitive. This experience against two of the best teams in the country has given the girls a taste of the standards they must work hard to achieve over the season if they are to repeat last years success (Last year the U14s not only reached Final 4s – as did all the Hatters teams but also won the whole competition). This weekend our new WBBL team (previously Div 1) travel to Manchester on Sunday to take part in a friendly tournament with Manchester Mystics, Northumbria and Glasgow Rocks. Again the games will give the new team an opportunity to play together before the competitive season starts on 11th October in Loughborough.
