Surrey v Hatters – U16s

Sheffield Hatters produced a strong finish to claim a 68-79 victory over Surrey Goldhawks in their second match of the season.

The Hatters girls were in good spirits as they took the long journey to Surrey. Tight defence gave the Hatters an impressive start against  Goldhawks giving them a 12 point advantage going into the second quarter.

Lack of focus in the second quarter gave Goldhawks the opportunity to pullback finishing with the Hatters going into the second half trailing by 3 points.

Excellent team work and great attacking in the last quarter caused the Goldhawks to make numerous errors which resulted into team fouls giving the Hatters the chance to push forward making a 6 point deficit into a 11 point advantage resulting with the Hatters scoring 33 points in the last quarter.

An impressive 5 Hatters girls got onto the scoresheet with double figures.
