It was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to train with Sardinia players and gain experience from a number of Italian Coaches but with the main coaching theme coming from Bob Martin who was invited from Danum Academy.

Three Sheffield Hatters ventured out and went to the Pablo Aguilar Spanish Basketball camp this summer. For JD, Emma and Eleanor this was their first European summer Basketball camp and they travelled to Al Cala La Real in Southern Spain for the experience. On their first day they went and played on outdoor and indoor courts, learning and playing alongside Spanish players. The Girls camp coached by GB Womens player Lauren Thomas-Johnson on Tuesday was a great success, with girls travelling from all over Yorkshire to attend.
Lauren an accomplished England international at cadette, Under-16 and Under-18 levels, stepping up to Under-20 level with Great Britain in the 2007 European Championship, averaging an impressive 17 ppg.
