Hatters’ Under 16s Storm Into The Next Round Of The Play Offs

On Saturday 13th April the U16 Hatters forged an early lead in their Round 1 playoff game against the Barrow Thorns on Saturday. An unanswered 13 points, 7 of them from captain Georgia Gayle set the scene for a 33-12 quarter in the Hatters favour.

The second quarter saw a steady increase in the Hatters score with Gayle sinking her second three and 11 of the Hatters 22 points, while their defensive play held the thorns to just 9 additional points.

Hatters’ U16s and U18s Reach The Play Offs

This Saturday 13th April 2013 our U16s and U18s take on the first round of their national play off games. The U16s tip at 2pm against Barrow Thorns, followed by the U18s who take on Sporting Club Albion at 4pm. Come down and support the girls  at All Saints School (Goals) Granville Rd, Sheffield S2 2RJ.

Westfield Health Hatters travelled down to Cardiff this past Saturday for their second regular season match up against Cardiff Archers. The two teams met before Easter break in Sheffield where the Hatters beat the Archers 90-57. This game would not be much different.

Right from the word go, The hatters took control with a 48-13 lead. In the second quarter Hatters dropped the pace slightly, but still maintaining the lead. After half time the girls came out fighting again, winning the quarter 22-9. In the final quarter Hatters continued their lead, despite this Trafford kept their heads high and continued to work hard till the final whistle went. Division 1: Two for Two on the Weekend

The Westfield Health Hatters hit the road for a double header weekend. They matched up against Manchester Mystics on Saturday where they got out to a very early lead. The Mystics who are currently in 9th place with only 3 wins this season lost to the Hatters 88-56 the first time they played. This time would be no different.
