Nottingham Wildcats 79 – 74 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (18-13, 36-31, 58-59)

Nottingham Wildcats continued their pursuit of the top four as they used a late run to beat rivals Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 79-74 at Wildcats Arena.

Leicester Riders 74 – 72 Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters (20-19, 36-41, 57-62)

Leicester Riders won a crucial game as the top two in the WBBL Championship break away from the pack, after edging out Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 74-72.

The second-placed Riders have now made it six league wins in a row, moving to 9-1, and have beaten the Hatters in the last three meetings. Third-placed Sheffield, meanwhile, slip to 8-3.

The Sheffield Hatters under 18s made the long away trip to Newcastle to play a well drilled Newcastle team sitting 3rd in the league on 7 wins and 6 losses.

Sheffield Hatters under 18s had a top of the table clash against Charnwood college riders. Before the Christmas break the Hatters had 8 wins and 3 losses and Charnwood had 7 wins and 1 loss. All to play for today.

Today Sheffield Hatters under 18s had a tricky away tie against Manchester Mystics. The last time the 2 sides met it went to 3 periods of overtime and the Hatters came through and won it 74 v 67, so the girls knew they were in for a tough game.
 
The girls came out and pushed the Manchester offense into making mistakes and the attacked the defense with real purpose but lost the 1st quarter 15 v 10.

There remains one unblemished record remaining in the WBBL Championship after the still perfect Sevenoaks made a serious statement of their title ambitions.
