Hatters Girls Represent Yorkshire U13’s

Well done to Ella, Abbey, Zoe and Alice for representing Yorkshire in the national regional tournament held at All Saints, also to Ashante Richards who represented East Midlands.

The girls were a credit to the team, they played well, learning with each game and all achieving baskets. The team finished 6th overall.

Also worthy of note is the fact that Charlotte Timms and Maisie Palmer turned out to assist with the North East team who were decimated by injury on Saturday and both girls ...

Hatters Win Betty Codona Classic Final

It’s advantage Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters going into next weekend’s WBBL Trophy Final after Vanessa Ellis’ side beat Nottingham Wildcats to win the Betty Codona Classic on Sunday.

Hatters hosted the three-day event, which honours their club founder and coaching stalwart Betty Codona MBE, and faced the winners of last year’s inaugural competition in the final.

Wildcats beat Sevenoaks Suns and then Barking Abbey Crusaders on their way to the championship game, which paired them with Hatters.

Hatters Win Leeds Summer CVL

Sheffield Hatters Under 14’s won the Leeds Carnegie U14 Girls Summer CVL.

Having a number of players on holiday and with 2 players who are new to the game and had only ever played a couple of games before we knew it would be a tough afternoon with only 4 points splitting Hatters, Bury and Lapwings at the start of the day.

Hatters Girls Represent Yorkshire U13’s

Hatters had strong representation in the recent Yorkshire squad that played the regional development tournament in Lillishall in July.
The Yorkshire squad had a relatively inexperienced side with Jess, Lauren and Holly the only ones with any real national league experience, even so they finished a very respectable 6th place, with Jess top scoring over the weekend for Yorkshire with 44 points.

Sheffield Hatters Hosted a Friendly Tournament Against Northants Lightening and Liffey

Sheffield Hatters started the New Year hosting Northants Lightening and Liffey who had travelled from Ireland to play in the friendly tournament. After the games Ariel Parrucci ran a training workshop on Sunday 5th January which saw all the teams come together to learn new skills.

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters cruised to an 88-49 win over Manchester Mystics to book their place in the semi-finals.
