Vanessa Ellis has added to her collection of Molten WBBL Coach of the Month accolades after taking the award for March.
Having previously won the prestigious titles for November , December and February, the play-caller has landed the individual award for a fourth time after guiding her Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters side to the first ever WBBL league title.
Yet again steering her team through the period without losing a game, Hatters were crowned inaugural WBBL Champions last weekend after squeezing out arch rivals Nottingham Wildcats.
It is the second piece of WBBL silverware won by Hatters this season and now they are bidding to complete the treble by reaching and then winning the maiden WBBL Play-Off Final at Worcester Arena on Sunday 26 April.
Ellis, who also won the Betty Codona Classic title with her team earlier this year, ensured her side chalked up three wins from their three games in the WBBL Championship during March – all by double digits.
The month began with a convincing 87-66 success at Sport Central against third placed Team Northumbria, with another road win subsequently coming by way of a 72-58 triumph at Manchester Mystics.
That set up the spectacular and thrilling winner-takes-all showdown against Wildcats, as Ellis masterminded a hard fought 74-64 victory to spark deserved celebrations.
Now she can reflect on the added satisfaction of once again being recognised for her coaching skills.
